Inner child

This section is slightly different from the others. It is my large personal project of perception through forgotten childhood methods — sensations and emotions drawn from details: from holidays, landscapes, nature, people, their traditions and values, and from discovering the surrounding world through my inner child.

At this moment, I want and am trying to get to know Spain in the way I would have known it had I been born here. I was born in Russia and spent most of my life there, so moving was a major event that cannot be called simple or easy. But I try to look at everything through discovery, not through overcoming.

The project is divided into parts: seasons, treasures, and textures, and it will continue to expand as new material is created.

Winter — a ring with an inlaid copy of Christmas eucalyptus;
Spring — el panot, a traditional Catalan floral pattern;
Summer — rings with Barcelona’s sea waves;
Autumn — an inlay of the strawberry tree berry.

The “Treasures” section includes copies of antique ceramic dolls, keys to secrets and locks, and small silver spoons (doll-sized).
